| Event Description: |
Jim Ware, CFA, is a principal at the Focus Consulting Group, a firm that helps financial companies achieve sustainable growth. A research analyst, portfolio manager, director of buy-side investment operations, and teacher at the Keller Graduate School of Management, Mr. Ware has authored or co-authored several articles and books, including the recently published Investment Leadership: Building a Winning Culture for Long-term Success. His educational background includes a master's degree in business from the University of Chicago. In this talk, Jim will identify the elements of leadership that significantly contribute to an investment firm's sustainable success as detailed in his latest book "Investment Leadership: Building a Winning Culture for Long-Term Success." "Investment Leadership" is the first book to rigorously study the corporate cultures that can form a foundation for success in investment management. I view it as "must reading" for anyone who seriously wants to succeed in institutional investment management. --Rob Arnott, Editor-in-Chief of the Financial Analysts Journal, founder and CEO of Research Affiliates
